Spouse visa: talk to us before you apply

A spouse file needs strong proof and the right course, and one mistake can follow you for years. Book a one-to-one counselling appointment first. We review your case, then decide together what to do.

Why one mistake costs so much

A refusal stays on your record

Every future application asks about past refusals. A weak first attempt makes the next one harder.

Canada: a 5-year ban

Wrong or missing information can be treated as misrepresentation, with a ban on applying for five years. It applies even if the mistake was not intentional, or was made by your agent.

UK: a 10-year ban

If deception is found, further UK applications are refused for ten years from the decision.

The rules for spouses have changed

Many countries now allow a student's spouse only for certain courses. For example:

  • Canada: since 21 January 2025, a student's spouse can get an open work permit only if the student is in a Master's programme of at least 16 months, a doctoral programme, or certain professional degrees such as nursing, engineering, law or medicine.
  • United Kingdom: most students on taught courses can no longer bring their husband or wife.

Applying for the wrong course, or without checking these rules, is one of the most common reasons spouse files are refused.

How we work

  1. Book an appointment

Call or WhatsApp us to book a time at the office or on video.

  2. One-to-one counselling

We go through your profile, your partner's course, your relationship documents and any past refusal letters.

  3. A clear decision

We tell you honestly whether to apply now, fix something first, or choose a different route.

  4. Apply properly

Only then do we prepare and file a complete, truthful application.

Best for

Spouse visas

Going together with a student, or joining a husband or wife already abroad.

Refused before

Spouse, study or visitor files refused earlier. Bring the refusal letter and we'll find what went wrong.

Parents visas

Visitor visas for parents, and Canada Super Visa for parents of citizens or PRs.

Common questions

Why should I book counselling before applying?

Because a refusal stays on your record, and wrong information can lead to a ban. We check your case first so you apply once, properly.

Can my spouse come with me on a study visa?

In some countries and courses. In Canada, for example, it depends on whether the student's programme qualifies. We check the current rules for your exact course.

My spouse visa was refused. Can I apply again?

Usually yes, once the reasons are fixed. Bring your refusal letter to the counselling session and we'll explain what went wrong.

What happens if my agent made a mistake?

In Canada, applicants are held responsible for errors in their file, even when a representative made them. That is why we review every document with you.

How long after marriage can we apply?

There is no fixed waiting time, but newer marriages need stronger proof that the relationship is genuine.
